Foster The people - Pumped up Kick's

The footage used in this video is a mixture of live performance's, recording studio's, other hobbies' etc. This video work's so well because it acts as an insight into the artists life's, with some very effective focus pull shot's carried out throughout the music video.

Shot's which include people dancing to their music make the viewer feel part of the crowd. The depth of field in this shot come's out great because it looks like there is far more people dancing in this shot than there actually is.

The spotlight in this shot produces a great effect, really bringing out the singer's figure.

I like this part of the video when it is in black and white while only the surfboard's are in colour. This takes all of the viewer's attention towards the surfboard and activity. Something which i could consider if i use a narrative in my video.

Quick edit shot's of the artists chilling out go very well with this song. This fine depth of field silhouette shot produces a very distinctive outline of one of the band members.

This extreme close up shot has a nice shallow depth of field, with the light reflecting of the symbol. A strong contrast of colour which all adds to a professional looking shot.

This low angle shot produces an 'in the crowd' feel for the viewer. The spotlight above the signer keeps the audiences attention, coming in and out of focus.

lot's of focus pull shot's are incorporated in this video which give off a great effect.
