I lovve this music video as it is so random, includes some random props and funny costumes!
The very first shot when the lyrics kick in, is of the lead singer literally shouting the words right at the camera. This is a point of view shot inside the tubing.
This illustrates how random this video is. The bright coloured tubing also makes the prop stand out.
This shot would be easily possible, i think i could shoot the moving footage (the man) with a fish eye lens camera combined with a green screen which could be edited in after effects and combined with either a photo or video as the white background and circular disc does not move or change.
There is still some good instrument syncing. bright colours again keep the viewer interested in this shot.
I love fancy dress inside music video's as i find it causes so many different meanings and emotions.
This shot could be pulled off using a green screen and some advanced editing skills. In total this whole video looks as if it was shot n a very plain, boring warehouse combined with some colourful props and some funny imaginative ideas.

The Wavves - King of the Beach
This shot really relates to the song name, with props such as crowns present linking them with kings. On a beautiful day on a beach location, probably California. The band members are standing/sitting on a raised platform gving them a sense of power, especially how the guy on the right has his hands behind his back.
Quick edits focusing on objects and symbols of their life's gives us an insight into their normal day. This shot is very basic yet effective as the viewer is able to read the tattoo 'no hope' immediately due to the extreme close up shot.
This low angle shot at the actor makes the viewer seem to see him as a more powerful/respectable person.
This tracking shot comes out great due to the sunlight, very simplistic. The majority of the video includes bright warm colours which is exactly what we would describe a stereotypical beach. I think colours and lighting are key aspects to creating a good music video.

Helpful Tips
http://musicians.about.com/od/musicindustrybasics/ss/makeavideo_4.htm
I found this website particularly helpful while researching music video's I came across this website which gives a few tips and tricks for producing music video's from start to finish, concept to completion. I like the way Arthur T. Flegenheimer says to be creative and interesting instead of making a stereotypical music video, for example he was very impressed when a music video was solely based in a van going through a carwash. I think that is a great idea, and I want to create something strange and interesting as well. I will not listen and memorise everything he said on this presentation, but it has given me a good insight into what i might come across and what may occur during the filming and editing stages.
